About Us

History

Since being founded in 1945, New Castle School of Trades has become a leading technical and trade institution. Throughout the last 60+ years of teaching and training, NCST has evolved from educating competent tradesmen to training more sophisticated and innovative craftsmen who are looking to become today's highly skilled technicians. In 1954, NCST moved to its present location in Pulaski, Pennsylvania.

In 1973, NCST earned accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools (NATTS). In 1982, NCST was approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to award the Associate in Specialized Technology degree in the Electrical Technology field. Shortly after, more of New Castle School of Trades' featured programs earned this distinction. New Castle School of Trades was acquired by EFC Trade Inc. in November of 1988.

Over the last 60 years, New Castle School of Trades' programs have continued to provide quality hands-on training and produce thousands of skilled graduates ready for successful employment in business and industry.
